Landtech is currently providing civil engineering services for the widening of IH 10 from the Hollywood Overpass East to 7th Street, and from Walden Road East to US 90 in Jefferson County for the Texas Department of Transportation Beaumont District. We are providing preliminary engineering services for the development of a schematic design layout, environmental assessment document, preliminary drainage study, public involvement, and traffic engineering and operations to support the development of the proposed widening of IH 10. Construction will include the widening of the roadway from four-lanes to six-lanes as well as the reconstruction of the Eastex Freeway interchange in order to improve the curve and alleviate traffic in the area. The limits are from mile marker 0.683 to mile marker 3.139, approximately 2.5 miles. The schematic design will consist of a feasibility study, base map, analyzation of existing conditions, geotechnical investigation, pavement design, schematic alternatives, schematic design, conceptual design schematics, geometric design schematics, cross sections, preliminary cost estimate, engineering summary report, and preliminary construction sequence.
