Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge

Client: Harris County Toll Road Authority
Services: Topographic, control, right of way, railroad, and construction surveying

Surveying services in support of the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge Program from East Sam Houston tollway between I 10 East and SH 225. This project includes the development of two new bridges over the Houston Ship Channel, each bridge will have four 12ft lanes doubling the existing lane capacity to meet future traffic demands. We provided survey control, right of way, utility survey, railroad survey and topographic survey. Under a separate contract, Landtech is providing quality assurance surveying services for the construction phase of this project.

State Loop 195

Client: Texas Department of Transportation Pharr District
Services: Topographic surveying and right of way surveying

Topographic and right of way surveying; Topographic, right of way, parcel preparation, and control surveying along SL 195 in Starr County, Texas. In addition, we provided revisions to an existing survey for updates to the project site. This project involved the design of an 18 mile bypass from Roma to Rio Grande City to provide an alternate roadway to alleviate heavy truck traffic from the towns along the US 83 corridor. A large portion of this project was located along large properties that were primarily used for game ranches, Landtech expedited our survey operations to work around hunting seasons.

Harvey Disaster Recovery Projects

Client: Harris County Flood Control District
Services: Topographic surveying

Surveying services for channel and storm water detention basin repairs and restoration as a result of damage from Hurricane Harvey. We completed topographic surveys for 50 sites in west and northwest Harris County for the post Harvey reconstruction project.

On Call Surveying Services

Client: Lone Star College
Services: Boundary and topographic surveying

Surveying services on an on call basis for Lone Star College System’s capital improvement projects, the largest community college system in Texas. To date, campuses and centers surveyed include: Cy-Fair, Kingwood, Montgomery, Conroe, North Harris, Creekside, South Campus, Harris Transportation Institute, Tomball, and University Park. We have completed boundary and topographic surveys for campus expansions, development of new campuses, center and facilities, and renovations.

Bayou Greenway 2020

Client: Houston Parks Board
Services: Boundary and topographic surveying

Surveying services on an on call basis for the Houston Parks Board. As part of the Bayou Greenway 2020 Project, the Houston Parks Board developed over 150 miles of trails, including 3,000 acres of greenspace, that will connect Houston’s major bayous. Landtech completed boundary surveys for land acquisition and trail design at Lower and Upper Brays Bayou, Lower and Upper Greens Bayou, Halls Bayou, and Sims Bayou under this Program. In addition, we have provided surveying services along Hunting, Greens, Sims, Brays, Halls, Mayde Creek, Vince, Dickenson, Garner, Luce, Armand, Cedar, Cow, White Oak, and Buffalo Bayous as well as multiple park facilities.

Franklin Mountain Visitor Center

Client: Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
Services: Topographic surveying

Under Landtech’s On Call Survey Contract with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, we provided surveying for Franklin Mountain Visitor Center. Franklin Mountain State Park is the largest metropolitan park in the United States and overlooks the Cities of El Paso and Cuidad Juarez. Landtech surveyed the 35-acre tract that defined the park boundary. In addition, we provided topographic surveying for the Wyler Tramway State Park located inside the Franklin Mountain State Park.

Northwest Transit Center

Client: Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County
Services: Topographic surveying

Landtech provided topographic surveying and mapping for the reconfiguration of the Northwest Transit Center located at Old Katy Road and North Post Oak Road in Houston, Texas. This $17.9 million project is part of METRO’s 2019 Capital Improvement Program.
